A site that has an add on here is requesting I give them my license ID etc to join.

Is this a wise thing to do?

The license validation system was made with privacy as a main concern, but also allows providers to vet signups to help them prevent piracy etc.

Thank you, was just a bit wary of giving my number etc out to 3rd party sites. But I get why they are doing it.
