I got involved i running a Xenforo forum that the developers set up using git.
Then when I started another Xenforo site I kept using git.
It feels like a good idea to have git keeping your source code safe. But sometimes I have lost changes I made in templates and it a it awkward to add upgrades or addons. Either I have made errors in the setup or git isn't a good solution for handling Xenforo.
I copied the setup that the previous developers created, but maybe there is a better or recommended way to use git with Xenforo (that I haven't found).
