MG 2.0 Is add via URL gone?

Would it be a suggestion to ask for it to come back or is there something I don't understand about it :O. Like is it poor practice or something.
There are quite a few considerations to make in terms of doing it securely but I think the main reason was that we felt it wasn’t really used much and given that you’re the first person to notice in all this time that actually seems to be true.
A suggestion would be reasonable.

I only noticed because a considerable number of people in my community pointed it out. I'll go ahead and make a suggestion.

For images you still can upload from url, just select upload file and paste the image_url in the file location, click save and its there.

I can’t say I was necessarily aware of that, but we have no code that handles this so it must be something being handled entirely on the client side.
