XF 2.1 Installation issues (overwriting files)

I've extracted the zip on Windows PC, and when I try to upload to the FTP server I get messages to overwrite some files where they have the same names. Is this normal in the upload procedure or are there some errors here?

I'm using filezilla FTP software.

That's correct.

Directories should merge and files should overwrite.

If you're careful, you can turn off those warnings in Filezilla, since most of the time overwrite is what you want to do.

In FileZilla, click Transfer >> Default exists action

That gives you several options for both Downloads and Uploads, including Default action, Ask for action, and Overwrite if file source is newer, among others.
