XF 1.3 install/index.php returns blank page

Hi,

I just uploaded the xenForo 1.3 files to my webserver, set the permissions according to the manual and called the install tool. It returns a blank page. It seems that the realpath function doesn`t work a s the dirname variable is set, but the rootPath variable isn`t.

It`s a linux system.

btw.: I`m installing on a dev server which has a different domain (xenforo.mydomain) than the one I licened the product for. Could this be a reason for this problem?

What's $rootPath coming out as? If realpath() is failing, that sounds like there may be a permission error (quite possibly: "The running script must have executable permissions on all directories in the hierarchy, otherwise realpath() will return FALSE").

Hello Mike,
thanks for your reply. rootPath was empty. Meanwhile I switched safemode to off, reduced the vhost-Configuration to a minimum and now everythings works fine.
