Are there any suggestions for changes that we can make to improve the results of the search?

What field does the current search tool search on (ie subject line; tags; post content)? Does it index all of the text within a thread? If not, can this be changed to include searching on all text? The reason I ask this is because their are times when we search for content that we know exists within a thread, but the thread does not appear within the results - why would this happen?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Titles, tags and content are all indexed. What are you searching for that isn't found?

Note that the base system uses MySQL's full text search which is fairly limited. XenForo Enhanced Search uses Elasticsearch which, aside from large performance benefits, also gives better results and supports proper relevancy ranking (including date weighting, if you wish).
