Importing vb4 to XF

Hi- I will be purchasing my XF license next week and intend to import my vb4 installation to XF.

I don't have a whole lot to import, just forum threads and about 150 users. No polls, photos, CMS data, etc.

I have not read much on importing from vb4 and will need some guidance here.

If its too much of a hassle, I may just import the users and leave vb4 up for historical purposes and eventually shut it down.

Any advice is appreciated. From what I have seen, XF is very user friendly. That is the main reason for leaving vb.

Don't forget to redirect your vB links to xF links after importing : http://xenforo.com/community/threads/vbulletin-4-x-url-redirection.7584/

Reason : Avoid losing traffic from search engines or visitors clicking broken links.

you would only need the following

1. Back-up, Back-up, Back-up
2. vBulletin 4 Importer
3. vBulletin 4.x URL Redirection
   

and some html , .htaccess knowledge
