Not a bug imgur not proxing

imgur images do not seem to proxy when users post them a certain way (they have a white border top and bottom, share link at top, imgur logo at bottom). This happens when they post them as single images or as a gallery. They do proxy when there is not imgur branding/border.

They'll be posted as embedded media (like YouTube).

There's not really much to be gained by proxying in this case and the content is loaded through an iframe on imgur's side so there's not really anything to proxy.
