Cannot reproduce Image Attachments Importing from IPS 4.4.10

When I finalised an import from IPS 4.4.10 into XF 2.1.8 the images that were inserted into posts were removed and relegated to attachments which destroyed the intentions of the post of displaying an image. To physically go through every post and reinsert the images would be a nightmare. Is this intentional or an anomaly?

I've destroyed the import and cannot move from IPS to XF until this issue can be resolved. If needs be I can invoke the import again if someone needs to take a look.

Apologies, I know this has been outstanding for a while but in my testing, while I found some minor adjustments to make, I didn't see anything obvious that would cause the reported issue.

If you're still experiencing this issue we will need to get the exact content from the IPS forum_posts table that didn't convert correctly into the expected attachment.

I ran into what I think might be the same problem during a test IPS migration last night.

The board URL setting didn't match the domain I was testing on, so the images appeared like this:




even though the attachment URL displayed there shows the domain i'm testing on, the actual <img src="... points at the board url, so it fails to load the image.


Changing the board url to match the test domain fixes the problem
