It seems something is failing on your end when it tries to connect to the MailChimpAPI. It isn't taking the CSS and putting it inline. Is there a chance I can get FTP access and an Admin account to troubleshoot?

What do you have in the CSS area in options? Did you make sure all files uploaded correctly?

CSS area is blank, I re-uploaded the files and it worked. I used an install and upgrade tool and uploaded the zip file for the initial install, and it worked. When you released the upgrade, I used the same tool, but apparently it didn't work properly that time.

What about pushing out to sendgrid?

This add-on doesn't do anything but create a newsletter in HTML format for you. The options pertain to certain links such as unsubscribe and web view pages.

How you send it out is up to you. You can use XenForo's built in Email Users feature or use a 3rd party software or service such as Sendy, Mailchimp etc etc.

I've been watching this development with great interest. I just switched to sendy from Mailchimp and what I like about this is the integrated ways to get forum contents into the newsletter.
What I'm hoping for is a more flexible layout. The current way I'm doing it is to use some online template like
https://www.campaignmonitor.com/email-templates/#gallery

Pick a template, customize it to my need and get the html/css and import to sendy.
Ideally, the content from this addon can be customized to fit into a different layout.

In a future update, I will provide a way to use your own template if you wish. I have already started the ground work rewrite for that feature as of today.

If you know your way around php, you could use your own template right now. It would take some editing of the files though.

If you would like to email me the HTML/CSS of the template you are using, I can tailor it to you in the meantime.

Just noticed that the preview link in the description had a css issue. This was just specific to this site and now has the correct styling done.

As a prospective customer,

What would make this add-on completely unrivaled, would be to have a function like this:
https://templates.campaignmonitor.com/canvas/design/01-mason

There would be the featured thread block, hottest threads block, etc, and then you could manually add other stuff as you wish.

For example, I often send newsletters (which I manually create) which feature popular threads, but also discuss other site related matters etc, so it's a mix of latest content and other news.

But this is probably out of scope for this add-on.

Can this add on send only a list of featured threads?
Yes

More flexibility is planned in this area. I can't make a guarantee that it look like the link though. @Andy.N has brought this up as well.

Feature suggestion: Add an option so that the generated newsletter is automatically posted into a new thread in a designated forum.
