XF 2.2 How to upgrade XenForo

Im wondering how I can upgrade XenForo 2.2.5 - 2.2.6, or does it do it automatically

It needs to be triggered by you but you can do so from within your admin control panel. If that is unavailable, you can upload the files and trigger the upgrade manually.

During upgrading, I received the following error, I tried manually and from admin > tools

Fatal error: Illegal length modifier specified 'f' in s[np]printf call in /home/domain/public_html/src/vendor/league/flysystem/src/Adapter/Local.php on line 199

How to resolve it? I do have DB back up, but did not back up files/folders.

The main forum website and admin site is " currently being upgraded. Please check back later." mode. I can't do anything.

We've seen this a few times now. We're not sure what exactly causes it but a few times upgrading or downgrading PHP has solved it. If you can switch your PHP version easily, I'd definitely try that first.
