How to remove navigation header and footer on pages, start with a blank slate?

I would like to create some opt-in landing pages using Xenforo's page system but do not want the header navigation and footer to show. How can I create a page which is essentially a blank slate? I want to code in my own HTML, email opt-in form etc. Also can these pages I create be EXCLUDED from the Xenforo search box?

Admin CP -> Appearance -> Style Properties -> Header and Navigation -> Height of Header Logo

Perfect in Firefox and Chrome, but slightly off on the left in I.E. 8.0

It might be related to the width of the logo. See this thread:

The logo is 446 x 65 pixels. Resizing the width to 996px would make it huge.

The idea is to downsize the logo if it spans the full width of the page. 996px was a downsize in their case. In your case 446px is not very wide so I doubt this is the problem.

I don't have IE8 available for style debugging right now.
