XF 1.2 How to edit Nav Bar

I would like to add a link in my nav bar that leads to a sub domain on my site. The only option I can seem to find is admin>appearance>templates>navigation. Surely there has to be a better way to edit this? Any info will help. Thanks in advance.

Try AdminCP > Setup > Navigation > Public Navigation.

The option is not listen. When I do a search inside admin panel the only navigation things returned are what I mentioned and the style itself. No nodes of any sort.

Sorry, my answer relates to XF2. I haven't been using XF1 in years.
