XF 1.4 how soon is "like" alert sent?

Sometimes I click like by mistake and unlike quickly. How soon does the like alert get sent? Do I have time to unlike before it is sent to the user? thanks!

It is instant, but unliking content will remove the alert, also instantly, therefore in cases like this, no one will see the accidental alert.

They often see the Like if they are online.
Mobile users accidentally LIKE posts while scrolling.

Start a thread in the test section and invite people to LIKE-UNLIKE and see if you notice it and under what circumstances.
