The preferred method of banning is to issue warnings and then set up the warning actions so that when a certain threshold is hit they are automatically banned.
But if you need to do a one-off, immediate ban you can use the "Ban member" function available from the member card or the user's profile:

I was belonging in a usergroup where ban was set to No and some others was yes but due to that one usergroup it didn't let me, that was my default usergroup as well.
@Chris D , hi again . Seems like that because i moved from another platform which had banned as usergroup as well the current members belonging to that usergroup don't have the line crossing on their name but their usergroup is indeed banned .
