XF 1.5 How does Xenforo tagging work?

Hey guys, I'm trying to fix the tagging for my forum. I've been told that the tagging system for user groups does not always work and some people that are placed into those user groups will not get tagged like they are supposed to be.

Which user group are tags based on, primary or secondary? Can they conflict with each other and prevent the user from being tagged correctly?

Xenforo, unfortunately, does not have group tagging - unless it was slipped in at some point and I never noticed.

If members are reporting that they are not being tagged, the two most common causes of that are tags being edited in to existing content (posts) - it only works for new posts, not existing posts, and the tag limit being reached for the person entering the tags.

If you have the ability to tag a user group then that comes from a third party add-on and you would have to post in the resource thread for assistance with it.

No, the purpose of the limit is anti-spam. If you are concerned about it being triggered in other scenarios, you should increase the limit to the level that you think is acceptable.
