How do you add simple template modifications?

Can you manually add template modifications somehow?
Or is it needed to create an XML addons that has the template modifications?

You can just create them:
admin.php?template-modifications/add

The link to create them only appears with debug mode enabled, but, actually, the page is still accessible regardless.

Also, as a side note, you shouldn't create or edit the XML files directly. The XML is generated by XenForo when you export the add-on and includes the template modifications and such.

Yes, exporting is the logical way to do that. Was just getting confused about the create template modification not being where I intuitively expected it to be.
