XF 1.3 how do I add my own "dropdown" navbar item like "Members" and "Forum"?

I have a couple items/links I want to call "Social" and put them in a dropdown like the "Members" tab on the navbar. I'm pretty sure it's in the navbar template, but I just need some pointers.

It's the navigation template. You can reference the code from other tabs in that template.

I'm already using Node as Tabs. Basically, I'd like a non-link text that says "Social", and under that, two links to some custom JS. I already have the custom JS and a link, but I want to add more to it and make it a drop down. I looked at the code and all I managed to do was bugger it up....
