Edit: In all seriousness, It really depends on how in depth the skin needing coded is. I mean coding is coding and doing it for other software is almost a copy & paste. XF has a powerful style property system that can do things without even touching a template. With vB I always find myself in the templates or adding things to the additional.css template.

It's hard to say, there 2 completely different systems... there is a learning curve for XenForo but most catch on quick.

XenForo provides something the average user can hop in and create a brand new style easily.

Erm..Well if your coming from vB there is a learning curve which is to be expected. I edited my post above...which gives you my view on it.

@Russ, I checked the demo and purchased a license, and I'm trying to find a designer within the community I'm doing it for but nobody can so far. They think it's too hard or whatnot.

As for the style editor, looks too complicated for me. That's why I pay others lol.

Changing colors is easy:

Some other changes like layout changes require getting into the CSS code for which there is a style properties interface. You can also edit the CSS and HTML templates directly, but of course that requires coding ability:

If you want something elaborate then you need a developer. But the people on this forum can help with small tweaks if you have specific style questions.
