Hosting/Server Considerations?

This will be my first time moving into self-hosting. What things (technical things and data) do I need to consider when choosing a package, and who do you recommend?

I've noticed a few people giving these:
Member Count (ours: 119)
Posts/Message Count (ours: 14345)
Members online at the same time (ours varies greatly, from about 1 - 12)

In reality, hardware wise, a forum as small as this you don't need to look at getting anything special, infact shared hosting would be more than ample for you.

Just look to find a reliable host with good reputation.
