I'm on OVH on shared. But I'm looking for something more advanced

Definitely the VPS. It scales pretty easily. I came off a dedicated server and started off on MVPS-2, there was some lag issues, so when I checked the resource usage it was nearing 100%. I scaled it to MVPS-3, and everything's been going great since. I can always scale to MVPS-4 or 5 if the demand grows.

MVPS-1 starts at 35 USD per month if you go by monthly basis.

Generally VPS aren't customizable like that, dedicated servers are.

Shared Hosting is not going to give you "a lot of storage", if you think that. "Unlimited Hosting" is generally false advertisement. There's no such thing as unlimited storage.

I got 250gb in OVH which probably I will go to upgrade again as I receiving notifications that my site has not enough resources sometimes.

That's a first I ever seen that. I left OVH because their hardware was trash. Had over 4 hardware failures in less than 2 years. If that works for you, then you should probably stay there. I doubt you'll find 250GB+ of storage in any other shared hosting plan.

Ive been used only 15gb from 250. I will upgrade again to 500gb. But that's because sometimes my site has no resources available and becomes slow. At some point I might look for some more advanced VPS or dedicate.

after being on dedicated hardware for 15 years, i moved to a Vultr vps (link in sig that gives you some credits and me as well) a few months back.

It's been a good idea. faster response times and good service.

More disk space will not help with site slowness. You need more CPU and/or RAM.

i got a small 2core 4 gig machine and offloaded all my attachments to s3. this a 75k user / 1.5 mil post board. traffic is less now than 10 years ago though

If you are looking for European hosting, check out Hetzner in Germany.
Fast VPS machines and a great price.

(We use it for our big board and get a Google PageSpeed score of 90+ on mobile.)E63AC2D8-1E37-43E8-9C9B-CECC05EC5ABB.jpeg

If you have a lot of files be careful. My host limited me to 1.5 million inodes and refused to increase. I use Namespro for my email hosting and small sites, self hosting for the big ones.
