https://xenforo.com/community/help/smilies help doc is incorrect, in that it only shows the few emoji's supported in 2.2 vs full emoji support for 2.3

That page lists smilies, which are technically distinct from and predate emojis. There are thousands of emojis available in XF 2.2.

I personally find that really confusing from a non-administrative standpoint. I'd either deprecate the help page altogether or combine the custom emoji's with the standard ones.

I agree it can be confusing, though the help page can already be disabled in the control panel (in 2.2) and smilies can be defined using emojis (in 2.3). They are already unified in the editor menu anyway.
