It is both surprising and disappointing how many people are upgrading without doing basic due diligence and then complaining that their sites are borked.

This release is no different to any other.

• check all third party add-ons and styles have compatible versions for the XF version you are upgrading to - if there are not and you are not able to disable or uninstall the add-ons, DO NOT UPGRADE until updated versions are available
• take a backup before upgrading
• if you can test the upgrade on a development or test installation, do so
• upgrade third party add-ons and styles after upgrading XF
• be prepared to deal with outdated templates and phrases if you have modified them

The 2.3 upgrade went smoothly, enjoying the features, thanks for the hard work. (Still one to go but will take more time due to add-ons.)

Yeah no issues here with 2.3.
Am not going to spend time whinging about the upgrade process.
Only things i had to wait on were cash to renew membership so i could use two of @Russ styles and update them.
Only thing that did annoy our crew was the preview pop up button.
Don't know if you used that to prank us all @Chris D
But it was removed pretty quickly.

The upgrade was flawless, as per usual - even though the admin (me, lol) forgot to disable all add-ons before applying. I guess I was just too excited about the new version being released! Otherwise, everything is running swiftly and smoothly, thanks for the great job and all the hard work you do, XF Staff/developers!
