Help before buying

Hello friends okay? I have some questions before buying the license, I wonder if the license is forever? or have to keep paying every year?

I wonder if I also fully support the forum?
I wonder if there is some kind of discount they can offer me?

I have a blog of computer science, is not yet known what you advise me? I even buy the license? or should I wait a little longer?

The license is good forever. The only recurring fee is $40 a year for updates. This fee is optional. If you don't wish to download updates after the first year then you don't have to pay the $40. Then you can pay at a later time when you want to download updates again.

There are bulk discounts if you purchase multiple licenses. Otherwise there are no discounts.

Blogs are one to many. Forums are many to many. If you want to start a community for a specific topic then a forum is a good choice.

You can technically have both and more.

XenForo makes for a powerful and affordable choice for forum software, but there are also blog programs, galleries, social groups, and more than you can easily add into XenForo.

At the moment, no commercial software will refund you once you have downloaded a copy.

This applies not only to XenForo, but generally all alternative options. This is to prevent piracy as no one can truly validate once you download something, that you've not sharing it or using it in several places.

Well there are like 3 different blogging add-ons for this software. Picking them would be a matter of what you're niche is and your needs.

I'd suggest FIRST downloading a demo for now to see if your like the forum, which I'm sure you will.

Secondly purchase the software
Third download a blogging/article add-on (there are a few here)/Create categories specific to your niche
Fourth start blogging
Fifth start SEO work (search engine/article submission)
Sixth start gaining members by word of mouth and/or advertising.

Starting any site, there is always a risk of it not taking off. This is true no matter what software you use.

But I can say that XenForo is very user friendly, easy to use, fast, secure, and customizable. All of which will help you develop your site and help you bring new people to visiting it.

But with any new site, you're going to need to promote it and get the word out. This is true for any site you start. But if you're going to start, you may as well start with the best, XenForo

I take risks. As a forum owner/business owner/idea starter you take risks! Everything is a risk. Will you or won't you? this and that! Sometimes you fall and sometimes you soar.

XenForo is worthwile and is a tool to be used in your venture. This will not govern your likelihood for members/activity/or traffic. Failure will be solely on your part if you do not produce the results you are looking for.

Research! You need to do more research for your niche. A niche will mean the world to your site in a world full of computer science forums/blogs.

Not to mention you need to analyze what you expect from this venture. Profit? Entertainment? Self fulfillment?
