This is a suggestion for something similar to the Wordpress Health Check plugin.
What this WP plugin does it that when active it makes your site behave as if all plugins are deactivated and default theme is active. All regular users see the site as normal, trouble shooting mode only makes the site appear default and no addons to admin.
You can then choose to activate addons/themes one by one (again only admin sees the results of this while in troubleshooting mode) so that you quickly find the offending add-on/theme without closing the site or having to do it on a test site or inconveniencing your users.
