I think this would be quite a straight forward add-on but would be pretty cool.

The idea would be to allow threads to be automatically moved to a "Hall of Fame" forum once it receives more than a (admin set) threshold of likes.

Would that be for the first post only or all posts in the thread?

I do like this idea. I like it a lot.

I think a total number of likes in the thread makes the most sense. A thread might start of average but be made great by a post half way through.

If that's not possible then first post likes would still work.

I can see it being the whole thread as well.

Couldn't it be just the post that got the most likes, independent of the thread itself?

Random post in a random thread somewhere that gets the most likes on the forum - getting a link to that.

a list would be more logical than moving all the 'best content' out of their original locations.

Yep I'm using that xenfans add-on but it's not quite the same as my suggestion, being able to set a like threshold, etc.

I have created this add-on and have posted it here. If you have any questions, feel free to message me (or preferrably reply to the release post so others can benefit from the Q&A).
