Duplicate Grouping Relevant Alerts

An idea suggested by someone within my community is to group alerts that are of a similar and relevant nature together rather than showing them all individually as they do right now.

Example: if two people post to a thread, rather than showing two separate alerts for this, combine them, saving precious space in the alerts tab.

I believe Facebook do something similar and of course the like functionality in XF tends to work this way, too. Perhaps you could give users the option to combine relevant alerts or to show the separately using the alert preferences tab?

If you have alerts set for "Replies to Threads" ... do you get 2 alerts ?
I think you get one.



I get two alerts sometimes ... one for a Like the other for a quote.

I would like to see some form of grouping too. From the image above have it the same but instead of "There may be more posts after this." have an actual number.

And likes get one each, so would be nice to see it display facebook style.
