Here is an example of an an official EU website with an embedded YouTube video:
https://edps.europa.eu/press-public...-probe-facebook-over-data-privacy-giovanni_en

This too has a cookie notice and a privacy policy just like XenForo does, but it also does require explicit consetn by the user befor actually accessing YuoTube.

As far as I can see XenForo currenlty does not require the user to give such an explicit consent, it just displays the cookie notice and has some informational text in the privacy policy.

So I wonder if the current XenForo functionality is fully compliant?

Hi,
I wonder if the team of Xenforo can help out. As of the implementation of GDPR in the European union it is now clear, that media embeds like YouTube require explicit consent before placing cookies.
The cookie bar, the privacy policy is not sufficient any more.
Do you know of a plugin that makes explicit consent for media embedding possible or how can I deactivate media embeds in the meantime?
Thank you,
Matt
