Forum down using the redirection script

Ive just used the redirection scipt kier posted for IPB 3.1 to Xenforo.

My IPB installation was in a folder called /forum
I renamed that to /oldforum and installed xenforo in /forum

I then uploaded the redirection files to /forum, but as soon as I uploaded them I get the following error when trying to view my site:

The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
I notcied there was already a xenforo .htacess file with the default installation. Was I supposed to edit that rather then overwrite?

Any help really appreciated as my forum is currently down :(

You can restore the original .htaccess file from the .zip package or by renaming the htaccess.txt file which should already be on the server.

Hi Brogan,

Ive just replaced the orignal .htaccess file from xenforo and my forums now up and running again.

It does appear though that the the redirect isnt working. I just searched for a thread on my forum and when I clicked on it, it took me to the index page and not the thread.
