How would you make Xenforo's forgot password email have an addition that shows the person's ip address?

That would allow people who get "forget password" repeatedly to know who is doing this to them.

Not sure sending the IP along with the email notice is proper, but I do think having an option to log the request in the ACP would be a nice touch.

You can ask the member who is receiving the password reset emails to look at the emails header which will show the senders email address. You might be able to figure out who's requesting the password reset with that information.

The Forgot Password email comes from the same email you configure your sites emails to come from... Looking into headers will just show that X site is saying someone requested a new password.

    You're right.

Looks like the best thing would be to send the IP address along with the email message hoping the sender is using a unique IP that can be matched to a member.

There is only a 50-50 chance for that.
