Food Pr0n - Fantasia revisited.

Some poor critter gives up it's life for you, and you do that to it...

Waste of good meat :p

Only Beef exception - Ground meat should ALWAYS be cooked through, it is a bacterial minefield.
Medium rare-medium should be fine on those as well :p.

Sure, if you buy fresh Chuck and grind it yourself a few minutes before using it :p

Otherwise the additional surface area you create in grinding is a wonderful breeding ground for nasties, which love warm, moist conditions, and not reaching internal temps over 73.9°C or 163°F won't kill them off .

But I know many people like them rare or medium, not a risk I would take myself, unless I had just ground the meat.

Here's a wonderful little recipe that has not yet received complaints from those who've eaten it (stick with me ).

Put rasberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries into a strainer, allowing to let all the juices run out.

Throw in some mixed veggies (corn, green beans, carrots, peas) into the bowl too! Make sure they're all cut into small pieces too. Uh, what? And who doesn't like green peppers, bok choy, and cucumbers? Dice 'em up, toss 'em in. Where is this going? This doesn't sounds appetizing together...

Finally chop up an apple or two and throw that on top, mixing it all together. After, put them into ice cube trays for later.

Now it's at this point I should probably mention I don't actually eat this. :p So who does? This little guy!

I will admit I have wondered if making a smoothie out of it would be worth it. It might actually be tasty seeing as how the apple, berries, and other stuff will probably coverup the taste of the peas and green beans. Maybe I should try that sometime.

Medium-rare/Medium will generally meet those temperatures. I usually go medium on burgers just to be on the safe side as chances are you'll be closer to medium rare, or slight over medium when you order it out.

Generally I don't trust restaurants to prepare the food properly, so I won't eat anything rare unless I know the place well enough.

I think Medium/rare is a lot less than that, as at internal temp of 160F + she's cooked baby all the way through!

I don't trust restaurants either, which is why I would always ask for ground beef/ hamburger to be well done, but steak I will take the chance, as I really dislike well done steak it's like eating shoe leather LOL

At home I eat hamburgers medium though.

I have a friend that tends to each steaks on the juicier side. I can't stand anything that still looks like it has blood pressure.

I'm surprised you don't know, they're native to Australia!

LOL you know I thought it looked like a sugar glider, but figured it wouldn't be! lol

So cute aren't they! :D
For sure, and their meals actually make me hungry! What I posted was one part of it, the other part includes eggs and honey and it doesn't smell half bad, but I haven't dared try to sample that either. :cautious:

The fresh stuff looks gorgeous all chopped up like that :D

I would definitely give it a try! ;)

Tried out cha cha chilis today. I'm crazy about the mushroom poppers.

THE CHIMICHANGAS ARE HUGE!
My partner and I ordered separate chimichangas and when they came out we were like  that's a lot of food...
