That Avatar was the biggest selling movie of all time.

Food wise, I've eaten bear, snake, crocodile, ostrich, goat, and a few other things I've forgotten now.

There is a restaurant near us in Westland called Beaver Creek Tackle & Beer. They feature a "big game night" every so often where they've served buffalo, venison (deer, which is really big in our area), and quite a few other things I've heard.

ROFL! Don't know exactly what you are talking about but I know what crossed my mind when I read your post, and I DO agree! :)

You do so know what he's talking about.

Then I come across this old song on YouTube and nearly spit my Diet Pepsi all over my monitor...

I have seen "raw sugar" locally. Some restaurants offer it in packets as a sweetener.

Sugar is very political in the U.S. The government wants us to support corn growers, so a lot of (most?) mass-market products are sweetened with that unhealthy HFCS (high fructose corn syrup). Even good ol' Heinz Ketchup. I know a lot of consumers are clueless on it, but since I discovered the difference in flavor several years ago, I've avoided buying most products that use it. It is very noticeable in carbonated beverages, even to those who don't drink them often. HFCS is very "sickly sweet" in comparison to sugar and leaves a weird aftertaste or feeling in the mouth.

Hmmm I don't think we have that HFCS here thankfully, will have to check our labels, but here we grow a huge % of the Sugar Cane in the world so it is obviously cheap and readily available so gets used in everything.

Raw cane sugar is $1.00 per Kilogram or about 50 cents per pound - not sure what you guys pay for cane sugar?
