Food Fantasia

I had another can't be naffed feeling today so didn't cook anything.

Just had a couple of Weetabix with banana and warm ginger milk.

Nothing to see so no pics.

Not made by me, but I went to a greek restaurant on Saturday with my girlfriend and this is what I ordered:

Fresh Sea Bass

An all-time favourite, spaghetti bolognese.

I know everyone makes bolognese sauce differently but my recipe is definitely in no way authentic. However, every single person who has tasted it really enjoys it.

In order of what I throw in, I use minced beef, onion, garlic, wine (white or red, whatever there is already open), Dolmio, tomato ketchup, Worcester sauce, balsamic vinegar, dried oregano, fresh basil and Dairylea cheese slices. Oh, and salt, freshly ground black pepper and sugar. Tonight I also sprinkled in some smoked paprika. If I have fresh tomatoes, I will chop some up and throw them in. If I don't, I don't bother opening up a whole can of tomatoes for it - I just leave it out. I don't measure anything and just keep tasting as I go along.

This "recipe" kinda evolved from my mother's spaghetti sauce which I think involved mainly tomato ketchup, milk and Dairylea cheese slices. That woman makes awesome Chinese food but when it comes to Western cooking, she's um... not very good...:p

I like my spag bol with not too much sauce, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, grated Parmegiano Reggiano and lots of fresh basil :D
