MG 2.0 FFMPEG Alternate VPS

Would it be possible to use a VPS which the Xenforo installation does not reside to do the processing for the Xenforo installation? I have 2 VPS which one is not in use. It would be great to use those resources to process the video transcoding for the Media Gallery. Not thinking this is supported but making an inquiry in case.
