External issue Facebook video won't run

Hello
I am running a Xenforo forum, 2.1, and lately Facebook videos refuse to pay or embed anymore.
Is there a fix? I can oddly still view older videos posted last year, but more recent videos refuse to play.



Any ideas?

The error suggests this is being deliberately blocked by Facebook so I can’t imagine there’s anything we can do about that.

Can you post some example videos here?

I have seen this occasionally with Youtube. Does the "Watch on Facebook" item in the message take you to Facebook and can you then view the video? That's what usually happens with a message like this from YT. If so, it would appear that embedding is being blocked on their side.

Thank you for reporting this issue. The message in the embed comes from Facebook's own player: Facebook declines to embed that video because it may contain content owned by someone else. The forum only inserts Facebook's standard embed for the link and can't override that restriction, so the video has to be watched on Facebook.
