Facebook integration

We want to move as many members as possible back to our XenForo forum from Facebook. I know enough about Facebook to be dangerous. I am seeking any help or suggestions on how other sites have done this. Various plugins or strategies would be very helpful.

I searched these forums and resources for 'Facebook' but admit I don't fully understand the returns I received. I am guessing the only connections that work are logon credentials and apps using Open Graph, but admittedly, I don't know anything about it.

Any suggestions or ideas as to what works best and where to start

Unfortunately, Facebook has killed off many excellent forums. It is sad in that FB is not only a privacy nightmare, it stinks at providing a deep history of knowledge like you get with forums. Despite adding many new features to my own forum, once the FB equivalent group took off I went from hundreds of logins per week at Amphicar770.com to maybe 10 in a good week. Google has de-prioritized forums to the point that many people can no longer even find them.
