Cannot reproduce Error generated when someone enters a long user tag in a post

This is generated when someone enters an (invalid) user (@) tag that that is too long.
Anyway it can be checked and prevented rather than creating the error?

I'm unable to reproduce this using just what you said. Can you give specific text that will trigger it?

Unfortunately I deleted the event logs and I suspect also the posts which caused it - and like you I can't reproduce this now. Obviously something more subtle than just the length.

I suggest you close this and I will report if I see the issue again.
