    Problem:

    Searching forums is not perfect. There are two issues with finding content:
    1. spelling errors in content
    2. spelling errors when searching
    Many important keywords on niche forums are misspelled and cause less than optimal search results. Members may not always be aware.

    Solution:

    Allow administrators to define alternative keywords in the ACP, and show a message when a match is found.

    In the ACP this would basically look like

    Show keyword alternative in search results

    xenvoro => xenforo

    I'm sure it can be even more advanced, allowing phrases etc. But the basic idea is to remind people they may find more useful content if they simply try an alternative keyword.

    Why should you need to define alternative key words?
    Use Enhanced search, it features stemming.

    Some are unable to use ES for various reasons.

    It goes further than Google you spelled it wrong. I know of many niche keywords on our forum that can be spelled correctly in more than one way, however some will return 100 results, some 1000... This feature would remind the user of the alternative(s).

    The Enhanced Search Addon does not suggest 'Did you mean 'keywords'' right?

    But he can use an Elastic Search service provider.
