XF 1.4 Enhanced search - not in addon list?

    Hi,

I know we purchased it and installed it and tested it. As well as "elastic." But where do we set the parameters for the Enhanced Search?

    Thanks!

ACP -> Tools -> Elasticsearch Setup

    Thanks Brogan,

This is what I have in Tools...

Then you haven't actually installed it.

OK, so if I install this right now, on a "live" forum, is there anything I should expect to break? Any maintenance I have to do after?

And is this the same for the resource manager? The settings for this should also be under tools?

    Thanks Brogan,

    Andre

    It won't break anything.

If you don't have elasticsearch installed on the server, you can simply disable it.

"It is important that the files on the server and what you're uploading are "merged". Otherwise you may break your XenForo installation."

    How do I do this?

Your FTP application should already be configured to do that.
If not, ensure you set it in the options.

I don't know too much, but using Filezilla, it is configured to "overwrite." And transfer type on AUTO. Should be OK?

    Rebuilding the search index now.

OK, I searched for "male choir" which is a term that should give me many results. Only two results, and they were part of a conversation I was having earlier today.

What am I missing? Thanks for the help!

    It works fine for me.

If you are using an add-on which allows conversations to be searched then it is a limitation of that add-on due to how search results are fetched.

Hmmm... I don't think I have that kind of addon. Anything else I could check?

What results are you seeing and what do you expect to see?

Here is what I'm getting now, Brogan. Strangely you got more... hmmm.... I got 36 results (20 per page showing).

Presumably you don't have access to those threads for some reason?

Or perhaps you performed a filtered search?
