Fixed Editor issue when pasting special characters

1. Type something in the rich editor, for example: "bla bla bla"
2. Open an external editor like Notepad and write "Diör" then copy that to the clipboard.
3. Select the latest "bla" from the text you wrote in step #1 and paste the text from step #2 (as if you want to replace "bla" with "Diör").
4. Everything gets deleted and the only thing you have now is "Diör".

Confirmed. I've just replicated this on Windows 7. I didn't need to do it with special characters though, it did the same with ordinary ones too.

It's a little intermittent as well - usually it did this but on a couple of occasions it behaved as expected.

Tested on:

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0

Should be fixed now. There's some very complex selection related code here.

It'll be rolled out here some time today.

Please let us know when it's rolled out. I'm still experiencing some strange paste issues in Conversations as of a few minutes ago.
