Confirmed Editor - Insert Code takes the first line only

If you select a multiline code and use the code button on the editor, only the first line of the selection is copied into the Insert Code popup window. I believe this was fixed in 2.1 or 2.2, but it looks like it is back.
I hoped it was in Safari on Mac only, but also the same behavior in Chrome on Windows.

Any update for this bug? As this is quite annoying for any community dealing with lots of log/config/... output that tends to be wrapped in these tags. FWIW, we updated to 2.3.5 yesterday, no changes in this regard.

I can understand that such editors are complex, so a very quick fix might not be expected, but it's over 5 months now since this was reported here.
As silence is a rather hard to parse the rough plan here might be at least good to know. IIRC there are some plans to switch to another implementation, is it planned to wait until that gets released?

XF 2.4 Thread 'Tiptap: A new editor for XenForo'

Rich text editors are hard. When you drill down into how they actually work, it's a wonder why there are so many of them, and why developers would willingly spend a significant part of their life working on one. At XenForo we have been through ... counts on fingers ... three different rich text editors in our history, so if we're being generous we can at least attest to what a feat of engineering they are and how difficult they can be to get right -- and all we have to do is implement them.
