With regards to edit functionality and the recent on goings here maybe if a member edits x-amount of post per x-amount of time a staff member is alerted (chances are editing in short time spans can be done maliciously) Anyhow they are alerted to check posts are not being wiped out.
Related. permissions to restrict editing privileges on a per person basis on the chance if 1 person is abusing editing then they can be dealt with as a individual and the rest not be punished for their mistakes. (not sure this is already in the core)
