XF 2.1 Duplicate a navigation item into "standard (no tab") ?

I need to create a main menue (Forums, Ressources) and a submenue, which stays the same. Thus:

Is it possible to duplicate a navigation item (being placed under a certain tab) and put it into the standard (no tab) as well ?

Yes.

How?

1. Find the nav element you want to duplicate.
2. Copy the entries for that element into notepad or something to keep it handy.
3. Now create a new navigation element (Add navigation at top right).
4. Give it a new navigation ID at the top (e.g., if you're duplicating What's New, make the new element ID newPosts2 or something.
5. Now change Parent navigation entry to whatever you want it to be using the dropdown.
6. Check the Enabled box at the bottom and save.

Tweak as needed to get it the way you want it.
