Does XenForo Officially Support All S3-Compatible Object Storage?

Hi there,

I'm planning to purchase a XenForo license, and I have a quick question about object storage support before moving forward.
I’ve seen the official resource that explains how to use Amazon S3 or DigitalOcean Spaces for storing attachments, avatars, etc. via config.php.

However, I'm wondering:

Will this method also work with other S3-compatible providers like:

• Wasabi
• Backblaze B2 (S3 API)
• Cloudflare R2
• Hetzner object storage
• Linode Object Storage

These providers all claim to be S3-compatible and offer standard endpoints, access keys, and secret keys.
Are there any known limitations, or can I expect XenForo to work with any storage service that supports the S3 API?

There are no known limitations, though we haven't tested every provider.

That being said, I can at least confirm:

• Backblaze B2
• Cloudflare R2
• Wasabi
• Vultr

Are known to work through customer comments and my own testing.

You can add Digital Ocean to this list. I have set them up with a large forum.
