XF 2.0 Does the vBulletin 4 import er import social groups?

Planning a migration from vBulletin 4.2.5 with social groups to Xenforo 2.

I see there a couple of Xneforo 2 addons for social groups but do the old groups get imported to XF2 in the initial import? If not, what happens to the vB groups with an import?

They are not being imported by the official importer and nothing happens with them upon import, eg. social group data is left in the source system as-is.
3rd Party products offering social groups functionality for XenForo usually do have their own importers though.
