Google AdSense Auto Ads are not compatible with most forums or any site with a complex layout. The only Google Adsense Auto Ads that will not cause formatting issues are their Anchor Ads, all other Auto Ads have the possibility of breaking your page structure as shown above.
Most forums that use Google AdSense use specific sized ads in specific locations.

I'm not positive. If you have separate sub domains already added to your site list, you should be able to see what options are available per subdomain.

if the ad code implementation is new, i would suggest ignoring it for a few days. i had this issue in early days of auto ads and eventually google settled on a few locations and it sticks to them now. google also of course has options where you can disable certain locations in their backend. make use of that to disable locations that breaks your layout. it might take a couple of days to get the backend to show those locations.
