XF 1.5 Dismissed notices come back after browser back button

I presume this is a browser/cache issue rather than a xenforo bug.

e.g:

• go to new posts
• restore dismissed notices.
• dismiss the notice (NB: I have only tried with floating)
• click on a post
• click on browser back button

I am finding with Firefox & Chrome, sometimes the dismissed notice comes back (but will go if you refresh the browser.

It doesn't seem to happen with safari, but I have had users complain it happens with IE.

I have noticed it on this forum as well as my own - but is not 100% reproducible all the time.

Can anyone shed any light on with this please?

This is basically how browsers work. When you go back, they reload the page from as it was when it was first loaded. You can see a similar thing if you reply to a thread, navigate away and then go back to it. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can do about it.

OK, I believe you of course but it's odd that it seems intermittent. (Which it isn't with a thread reply, that always happens)
