Disappointment in a member

I'm surprised no one has suggested using the Discourage function.

He is not to know that it has been implemented, and when he struggles to use the forum he'll either contact you with 'a problem' at which point you can be helpful and fix it for him rebuilding bridges, or he'll go elsewhere.

Sometimes some members get too comfortable on the boards and forget there are other users as well. You're building communities.

Without sounding horrible i think that getting rid of these people is the best because not only they waste your time but they drive members away from your forum by just being silly.
You can always warn them and infract them. But if they aren't going to listen do the next best thing and that is get rid of them.

It is always best to try and work with long term contributors first, then give them a cooling off period and see if they come around.

I always thought discourage was a troll weapon aimed at weaning off someone you don't want to come back without actually banning them.
