XF 1.5 Disabling Emails by Default / Board-Wide

Hello there,

I am looking to disable emails by default for users who have registered, and I have already done so by going to User Registration and unchecking receive email notifications on watched threads. Though, some of our members are still getting emails when they have this option disabled in their preferences.

We're using XenForo 1.5.8, so not sure if there was a known issue regarding this.

There are multiple options they need to disable.

1. Account -> Privacy -> Receive site mailings (disables emails admins send via admin panel / can be done on step 3's page too)
2. Account -> Preferences -> Unmark "and receive email notifications of replies" -> Save
3. Account -> Contact Details -> Unmark " Receive email when a new conversation message is received" -> Save
 
The preference don't change any existing watched threads. There's a link in the watched thread email to allow them to disable email from all watched threads. The preferences kick in for the defaults for new situations.
