Disable getting emails from alerts

One of my members on my forums wants to disable getting emails from my forums when he gets alerts without losing the ability to see alerts when he's logged on. I'm trying to find that in the profile, but I can't seem to find it... @_@

Where would one find this? >_<

AFAIK you don't get a mail when you get an alert!
You got only a mail when: you get a conversation or you watch an thread and for this you can change the settings here: http://xenforo.com/community/account/preferences

Are you using an add-on?

I'm sure it's set in Admincp by default that you receive emails to replies from watched threads (you watch all threads when replying to them) - I change this to just watch threads and receive alerts. Home - Options - Registration - "Watch Threads when creating or replying" - "Yes" (without mail)
